Abstract
This field study is descriptive, analytic, and transversal. It used a multistage sample that chose 425 subjects. It researched about the knowledge, attitudes and practices in sexual and reproductive health of young people 14 to 25 years of both sexes living in Villeta, town of Cundinamarca, and that belonged to Estratos 1 and 2 of the SISBEN (low income social classes). A questionnaire named “Recreando nuestra sexualidad” was used to get useful information to propose new surveys in sexuality and develop actions to promote sexual health among this population. The main findings were: There is a high risk for unwanted pregnancies due to lack of information and the used of the rhythm method, even though the most known is the condom. The most known sexual transmitted infection is HIV-AIDS that the population related to unprotected sex. Only half of the population knows something about sexual rights, and about Ley 100 (Social security services in health); therefore they don’t use the health services that they have the right to. More women than men use illegalSubst6ance, but more men than women drink alcohol and smoke. 44% reported being verbally mistread, in the last year, and almost 31% rural males reported physical abuse.
